Not For Itching Ears 
Long a fan of Ehrman and Pagels but they are really ravaged by traditionalists. The fact is that these early groups declared heretical used idea and texts that brought them to and held them to Christ so in my opinion legitimate article of faith to be revered not dismissed.

I think it is good for every follower of Christ to read the early church documents for themselves, without the filter of what others say they mean. Go to the source, read them, and get a first hand impression. Then you will be better equipped to dialogue about what they mean. Thanks for adding your thoughts Carl!
