The Church Up The Street

The message of Christianity can be summed up in one verse: “There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time.”(I Timothy 2:5-6) God willingly sacrificed His own Son on the cross to pay for OUR sins so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to Him. The Church Up the Street is a ministry that passionately believes this message of the Cross is THE greatest news in history. We are committed to sharing this life-transforming message with others and to living out the teaching of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.

Our emphasis is to meet in houses, apartments and businesses, just like the early church did for the first 300 years of its existence. We strive to be faithful to the teachings of the Bible, so our gatherings are designed to train and equip those who are already followers of Christ. However, each new house church “plant” starts out with a 10 week introduction to Christianity. These initial gatherings are a great way to introduce your non-Christian friends, family, neighbors or co-workers to the claims of Christ.

Are you interested in reaching your neighbors and friends with the life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeing them grow in discipleship? We are always looking to partner with others and help them start a meeting in their home. If you sense God leading you in this direction, contact us. We will help equip you for the task!

We would love to serve you anyway we can! If you would like to check out a meeting near you, start a meeting, need prayer or help in anyway, please email us at TheChurchUpTheStreet@yahoo.comVisit us online at www.TheChurchUpTheStreet.com.
