Does God Care More About Our Character OR What We Do In His Name?
It is a simple question, really…
In your opinion, is God most concerned with character or accomplishments in our lives? In other words, does He care more about the great things we accomplish (or don’t) in his name and for his kingdom OR who we ARE or BECOMING as his followers. In this poll, you can’t say “both” because the question is which one does he car MOST about?

Hi Jim. Really good to see your words good friend. As usual, you offer us what requires more than a little thought. I’m going to go with “character” though as I somehow see if that gets right the tasks will follow (super)naturally. Still, I think I get why the poll, for all of us get caught up in what we’re doing, probably way too often, than Who we’re knowing. Blessings!

I really like this question, I choose what we do in His name. Not because I think God doesn’t care at all who we are or what kind of men and women of truth we should be fighting to be.
But most of the time we as Christian have a lot to hold us back from doing what God almighty has called us to do. We just have to be reminded of how unworthy we’ve been lately, to make us turn around and fold in to the guilt that so easily holds us back. When the fact we often forget is that we will never be good enough to hold the gifts that God so graciously places in are hands. I’m not condoning sin by any means, God wants a people who are holy as he is holy. But we can’t wait for God to use us when we fill we’re holy enough to be used by him. God’s callings are perfect as his timing is perfect. I honestly believe in letting God use us as we are, because we are never as we should be. I really really like this question, glad to see you posting again.

HI Jake,
Thanks for jumping in and taking the poll! I think it is an illuminating question! Here’s some food for thought: If there is a definitive answer to this question, and I believe there is, we should be able to find it in the commands of scripture. What type of demands does God require of us humans more often than the other, character demands OR task oriented demands?
